Barbara Dietz | Bowed Instruments
Barbara is a 20 year veteran of music study. Her mentors include Merel Komor, Linda Cerone, Molly Fung-Dumm, Victor Liva, and Michele George. Her learning does not stop there. In addition to her 2 decades of education, she is currently studying with Art Klima of the Clevelande Orchestra and pursuing a degree in music education from Cleveland State University.
Barbara has been teaching privately throughout Twinsburg for the past 3 years and has taught students between the ages of 6 and 96. Barbara believes that all that is needed to play an instrument is the desire to play, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to your instrument.
Barbara is available for instruction on all bowed string instruments with a concentration on the "shoulder holders". Students will be trained in the basics from a classical approach but repertory will include many styles depending on the student's interest.
Barbara is a member of the Stow Symphony Orchestra and has played with the Cleveland Women's Orchestra and in Neil Zaza's production of One Silent Night.
