 Brett started with the GitterPicker String Factory in January of 2004. Brett has successfully introduced instruments such as the mountain dulcimer, hammered dulcimer, and banjo to our students. Brett has a love for traditional American music and works to promote this style of music. Brett's philosophy is that "anyone can make music, regardless of age, musical ability or knowledge...or any other excuse we can come up with"! Brett teaches several workshops throughout the tri-state area and at the GitterPicker String Factory. Brett has authored and marketed a series of instructional tapes that display his friendly method of teaching these instruments. He has been a featured teacher at the "Dulcimer Days Festival" at Roscoe Village in Coshocton, Ohio for the last several years. He is also the founder of the Laurel Highlands Hammered Dulcimer Workshop in Farmington, Pennslyvania and the Bear Run Mountain Dulcimer Workshop in Portersville, Pennsylvania.
Brett and his wife Serinity tour the tri-state area promoting traditional American music. They have released three CDs that are all available at the GitterPicker String Factory.
