PRIVATE INSTRUMENT LESSON POLICY
Private lessons are ½ hour in length unless otherwise arranged

PAYMENTS
Payments are due prior to the first lesson of each month.  No lesson will be given unless payment is made.  Students pay a flat rate per month for lessons and are scheduled for a regular weekly lesson.  In addition, students are encouraged to call in any day to schedule additional "mentoring" sessions for no additional fee.  These practice sessions do not need to be with the student's regularly assigned teacher, and they can include other GitterPicker students if the students would like.

Please note:  We hold the scheduled lesson slot for a student from month to month unless a students notifies GitterPicker that he/she will not be returning.  Students must notify GitterPicker prior to the end of the month if the student will not be returning for lessons the following month.  Tuition payments will be due for any month when lessons are not cancelled prior to the start of the month. 

REFUND POLICY
If the entire monthly lesson schedule must be cancelled in advance of the first lesson, GitterPicker String Factory will refund 100% of the tuition paid.  No refunds available after the first scheduled lesson.  Within the monthy session, if the student requests, any remaining lessons can be rescheduled in their entirety with another teacher if available. There are no refunds for missed lessons.  It is up to the student to schedule a mentoring session during the current month. 

ABSENCES
As a courtesy, GitterPicker asks students to give a minimum 24 hour notice for a lesson cancellation.  Make-up lessons can be scheduled with any of the GitterPicker teachers.  If the teacher must cancel the lesson, the student will be notified by the GitterPicker String Factory as far in advance as possible.  A substitute teacher may be made available, or a make-up lesson can be scheduled.

TEACHER RESIGNATION
If the teacher resigns from his/her teaching position then the student may choose another teacher at the GitterPicker String Factory.  All attempts will be made to ensure that no students miss lessons. 

LESSON TIMES
Lessons are scheduled one right after the other.  We ask that students arrive at their lesson 10 minutes in advance so that we can keep to our schedule.  If the student arrives late, the lesson will be stopped at the regularly scheduled ending time so that other students can receive their full lesson.
